Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

• Supervising hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen. 
• To fill the diet assessment form for each admitted patient. 
• To meet the individual requirement of the patient through therapeutic nutrition.
• To enquire about the food habits, acceptance, tolerance, allergies and likes and dislikes regarding the food from the patients.
• To evaluate and monitor the food intake and nutritional status of the patient.
• To receive complaints regarding quality of food and its services from patients and to take appropriate action. 
• To prepare diet sheet for meals of inpatient’s with respect to their diagnosis and clinical condition.
• To introduce therapeutic modifications in the diet. 
• Quality check of raw material and cooked food. 
• Supervising distribution of food according to the diet prescribed 
• Preparing counseling material and packages for various diseases, lifestyle modifications and nutritional concerns. 
• Diet counseling of IPD and OPD patients. 
• Diet counseling of patients at the time of Discharge.
• Any other activity as directed by management from time to time.
• To conduct training for F & B staff.
• To ensure effective participation in hospital training program and to update medical knowledge.
• To ensure proper and effective implementation of Hospital Infection Control Policy.
• Any other medical related work as assigned by Medical Superintendent.
