Front office (Executive) Job description in hospital

 


Duties & Responsibilities:

 Responsible for IPD and OPD admissions.
 Works in coordination to and under guidance of Front Office Incharge.
 Managing admissions of patients and coordinating with OPD patients.
 Taking full responsibility of department and being accountable for department’s activities and performance.
 Coordinating with consultants and CMO’s regarding admissions.
 Communicating with patients related to the admissions procedures and admissions charges.
 Coordinating with TPA Incharge and patients regarding any problems related to the admissions.
 Coordinating with quality team & implementation of departmental SOP’s.
 Interface with Marketing, Accounts & Finance for recovery & audit.
 Relationship management with insurance companies.
 Verification of all credit bills both for clinical & non clinical aspects for all claims.
 Ensure all Front Office protocols & policies are followed and implemented properly
 Giving estimates to prospective patients.
 Screening Bed Allocation as per Hospital Policy.
 Coordinating anticipated vacancies / room bookings for admissions.
 Coordinating Ambulance services.
 Coordinating with external source of ambulance for patient’s shifting (in case of emergency), when hospital ambulance is not available.
 Coordinate patients being sent outside the hospital for investigation.
 Training of Front Office Staff under guidelines of front office incharge.
 Maintain all the listed registers.
 Ensure timely submission of reports & returns.
